Lots of you are keen to register for Amy's Ride on the Bellarine Peninsula Sunday 3 January 2010. We're as eager as you to get registrations open and plan on opening it up in a week once a couple of tweaks to our system have been completed. Our latest World Champion Cadel Evans is an Ambassador for the Amy Gillett Foundation.

With his partners at Winners Sports Nutrition, he will be providing Cadel's Mountain Mix bars to all participants in each of the Amy’s Ride events. He provides some advice on nutrition for cycling to Amy's Ride participants.

Club 500 is a donation program where 500 people make an ongoing annual contribution to the Amy Gillett Foundation's road safety programs.

The Foundation now have a deal with Oakley to provide a pair of Oakley Radar sunglasses, valued at $300, for every new Club 500 member signed up before 31st October 2009! Please make sure you mention the newsletter in the 'referred by' field.

Victoria Police will speak to around 30,000 cyclists across the state in October as Safe Cycle Month aims to increase bike safety and reduce the number of bicycle-related collisions.

The state-wide initiative will see police speak to cyclists on everything from the importance of wearing a helmet to how to prevent bike theft.
